Didn't work well at all
I usually love this brand, but this sharpener chewed up pencils without sharpening

Staedtler Double-hole Tub Pencil Sharpener
Great for grandson going to college. Small, but sharpens well. It will be handy to have in a dorm room or carry in a backpack.

Best Little Pencil Sharpener
I love a precisely sharpened pencil and this little sharpener works as good as any electric sharpener. You won't be disappointed.

Exactly what I wanted
The former owner of a arts and crafts store said that this brand was the best for sharpening regular and colored pencils. I tried one regular pencil and it was spectacular. Don't know about crayons however but am going to give it a try.

Another Product Made By Chinese Children
Sharpens well, but sadly is not made in Germany where I expected a Staedtler product to be made.

Staedtler® Double-hole Tub Pencil Sharpener
For standard No. 2 pencils, this sharpener is excellent - and I would give it 5 stars. It is replacing a cheap Staples electric pencil sharpened that finally went kaput. Pencil and crayon sharpener.
It sharpens nicely. The only problem is that the release to empty the container is too ridged and tight. Almost impossible to open with arthritis.

staedtler double hole pencil sharpener
I am unable to remove the top of the sharpener for removal of shavings. Once someone removes it for me I am pleased with the way it sharpens my colored pencils.

Doesn't do a great job on colored pencils
I got this specifically for colored pencils bit it doesn't do such a great job.

Staidlerdouble- hole Tub pencil sharpener
The sharpeners are not very sharp and seem to chip away at the pencil as I sharpen them. Also the lead is constantly breaking while sharpening the pencil and the lead gets lodged in the sharpening chamber
