Perfect backup for new pc
This is 3rd Iomega external drive that I own. All still work and all still dependable. Great product, great brand!

Don't buy this product!
The USB 3 cable that comes with this product fits vey loosely into the drive, and, as a result, the drive only works when the plug is in a certain position. By placing the plug on a book, then placing a box of envelopes on the drive, it works--if I don't touch it. Also, it comes formatted in FAT32.

Great HD
So far a great HD. There may be a learning curve on setting up the encryption for some users. I have found no noticable speed reduction as I've noticed with adding other encryption apps before. As this would be optimized for this use.
Once configured the Lock/Unlock process is quite easy. As for reliability time will tell, but it seems to be a stable and reliable drive...

Slow transfer rate
Very slow data transfer (I don't have USB 3.0) and, so far,I can't figure out how to just update my back up. It wants to do a full back up everytime, which took 2.5-3 hours! Like that it is compact and does not need a power source!

Tricky plug
Everything about this portable drive is great except that the plug seems to be loose. I get a message that the drive has been disconnected whenever I shift something on the desk. It is incredibly annoying.

Portable Hard Drive - Iomega
Thought I would only need to plug into 1 usb, but needed to use both; so I was confused. Otherwise works easily. Told not to drop it; have it sitting down close to the floor. Somewhat more expensive than I wanted to pay, but a recommended brand.

A wonderful surprise
Had to replace an older PC, CD jammed in processor.
Many problems with it and not sure how transfer of files to new one was going to proceed.
No need to worry - went easy and so very fast - was a great surprise how well it went

Excellent product
I initially bought this product to transfer files from an old computer to a new laptop. It was simple to setup and use. I'll use the device to store extraneous files.

It's a good product for security purpose
I like the product a lot. The only cons the I can find is the WHEN WORK GOOD WITH PC, it does not work with MAC. so most of the time you have to format and can lose your information and it is unconfortable to do that. This is way I just work with pc and my ego, because , If I go with MAC the problems start.
